The Process
Our hens are pastured. They are moved to fresh, clean grass routinely, giving them free access to grass and bugs. They are housed in mobile chicken coops, and are protected from predators by electric poultry netting. These birds get to do what they naturally do - forage, scratch, and cluck.
Our meat chickens are also pastured. They are moved to new areas around once to twice a day, giving them free access to grass and bugs. They are housed in mobile chicken shelters.
Our poultry is processed at a USDA inspected processing facility owned and operated by Burgundy Pasture Poultry, a pastured poultry farm in Hillsboro, Texas.
